This website is dedicated to my son - Tyler Apiphu Watchalapong. I originally started this website back in 2018 - in tears. It was a mental and time struggle for me to understand the mechanics of building a website. I worked full time, internationally travelled, juggled being a mom, teacher, leader, and example for my son. Hello, parenting!!!! However, I bit through it in order to "get down to his level" and "learn to mingle" as he was a budding child of the Information Technology era (Generation Z). How else to bond if you (Generation X) don't learn what they are doing and are interested in, right?
Ask the years progressed, changes to our behavior changes as well. Our lives are more electronic dependent. From blogging to vlogging to clips to snaps....originally there was just Facebook & Youtube. Today there is Twitter, Instagram, Line, WhatsApp, Viber, SnapChat, TikTok, and I can not keep up.
What I DO KNOW is...no one flips through a photo album anymore. Photobooks are still nice to receive, but no longer the first requested or asked for. Curriculum Vitae and Resumes are now all sent online. Hard copy is turning to a thing of the past.
Apart from this project being a great bonding activity with my son (as he continues to teach me tips & tricks on how to improve images and videos), this website also serves as his virtual album. A reminder for him of who he is, where he came from, and how he has progressed and developed through the years.
I welcome all of his comments on how and where to improve videos and pictures. Most of the videos - songs, titles, transitions - all came from his comments and I give him all the credit.
Tyler's hobby is no less than other IT-era kids. Gaming, watching YouTube, giggling over silly clips, watching comedy & action movies, Vlogging, going to school, and making sure his grades remain up. He will learn to like his vegetables as he will learn to clean up his room. He is a compassionate young man and gives respect to all. I am super proud of him and am glad that he shares the love for sports and activities as I do.
The site is a compilation of his academic and athletic activities throughout the years. However, it is still under construction in many areas due to time as well as my limited experience.
Thank you for visiting Tyler's site. Should any content deem inappropriate - please contact me directly and I will make amends.
