Sandpipers of Nevada hosts TWO Open Water Events this 2021, where we kick off with Western Zones Open Water at Lake Las Vegas located in Henderson.  The day started with rolling thunder and lightening with rain showers seen from afar, which pushed our start time out by approximately 40 minutes.  Regardless, the event continued and for Tyler - it was his first time to swim 5K.

Swimming 4 loops around the course, Tyler completed his 5K race with a swim time of 1:07:07.83

Great job, well done, buddy!!!  I'm very proud where Grandpa, who has never had a chance to witness such or understand the dynamics of all your daily practices and dedication to swim practices, is super proud of you in having completed this 5K race.  You completed the race, you stepped out of your comfort zone, and you took on your share as a team player.
