2017 Satit Pattana Swimming Cup

Tyler enters the 2nd year of long course swimming, where he competes amongst local Thai schools.  Due to the high majority of participating Thai schools compared to International schools, the competition is extremely competitive due to the number of participants for each event - each event either has more than 5 heats or even up to 20+ participants per event.  We were all still getting use to competing long course as well as extremely lengthy events.  

Such competitions span either the whole day from 7AM to 7PM and goes through the whole weekend.

For this competition, Tyler participated in a total of 6 swim strokes - winning some, loose some.  Though he didn't win the Event Cup, he did manage to win within his heat.  This event was the milestone in kicking on his love for competitive swimming
