I am here in Phuket to cheer and shoot photos of Tyler’s participation in the international school FOBISEA 2018 games.
From past involvements with school, I was honored to be designated the Athletic Department school photographer.
St. Stephen's International School was up for the Under 13 Boys semi-finals where it was THIS EXACT MATCH - Tyler got elbowed in the face from the competing team. I was shooting the photos when I witness the impact and Tyler ended up......sprawled on the floor.
“Oh my god!!! That’s Tyler!!!”, was my initial exclamation!
I immediately grabbed a water bottle, ice-chilled face wipes, and flew over to see how badly his nose was “kindly re-constructed”
Luckily he suffered a buzz and a bloody nose, as reported by the medics on-site.
Whew!! No further cosmetic surgery required.
His acquired bloody nose has proven to be for naught. Far from letting their prize teammate take a hit for nothing, the impact only spurred the boys to up their game and energy. THIS. WAS. TRULY. The MOST amazing game, teamwork, and strategy played.
St. Stephen's International School walked out with smiles and silver medals having
WON 2nd place in the U13 Boys Basketball!!!
