August 25-26, 2018 - Heritage Park Aquatic Center
This was Tyler's first swim meet since having moved to America. We were new to all the protocols and procedures, where to go, what to do. It was a learning experience for us.
The Heritage Park Aquatic Center is a good half hours drive from where we live in Summerlin, Las Vegas. Warm up began at 0730AM every day. But the event organizer was very efficient in ensuring that the 12 years and below were done and out of the complex by noon so the 13 above could compete in the afternoon sessions.
Tyler participated in a total of 5 events - boys - age group 11 to 12:
- Event 2: 50-yard freestyle
- Event 14: 100-yard breaststroke
- Event 24: 200-yard freestyle
- Event 52: 50-yard breaststroke
- Event 64: 100-yard freestyle
Not only did he best all of his previous swim times, he also won 3rd place in all breast stroke competitions.
