As the calendar year turned into 2021, Tyler approached me with his request to transfer from Faith Lutheran Middle School/High School to attend Bishop Gorman High School (BGHS) as a Sophomore for the remainder of his high school years.

It was totally unexpected and I had my concerns.  I liked Tyler attending Faith Lutheran High School (FLHS) as the school is not too large, great teacher-to-student ration, all the teachers know Tyler and his ability, they have a competitive swim team, the families are wonderful, and he has a great peer group who back up and encourage one another – not to mention help each other out with studies and homework. 

Moving to BGHS bursted the wind out of my lungs.  The school is much larger in area, larger student body, very competitive swim team, I only know a few families, Tyler would be a totally new kid there…..I had grave concerns.

To be honest, I was not ready for my son to be a part of such a large student body.

However, his confidence, mind set, and determination curbed all fears.  He is proud to be a Gael and very much looking forward to the academic challenge and swimming.  His smile says all that words are way to simple to describe.

This new school year 2021-2022, Tyler enters BGHS as a Sophomore, to which we are proud to be a part of the Gael community and greatly look forward to the opportunities that are to come.
